This month we’ve had a couple of new and exciting products like the sailfish which was wonderfully received. Thank you to all of you who were adventurous enough to give our billfish (sailfish, black marlin, stripe marlin and swordfish) a try. We are now in the height of the first half of the tuna season with fresh catches of beautiful yellowfin tuna coming in daily.   With the strong southeasterly winds that we have been receiving over the last week, we expect the yellowtail season in Struisbaai to commence soon.   Yours truly,Ryan

The beginning of October traditionally brings a few weeks of strong south easterly winds, followed by some good catches of tuna. This year was no different and we have already had one good landing of fresh yellowfin tuna from our local fleet. The money raised will go towards fitting a tracker to our hero for this project, a sub-adult green turtle, who is currently receiving care at the Two Oceans Aquarium’s education foundation.
