A GREAT VALUE BOX FOR ANY SQUID LOVER
All our squid is sourced from the Patagonian sea shelf in the cold Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Argentina. This squid species is desired the world over for its flavour and richness in all-important B Vitamins. The Patagonian longfin squid are very short-lived, surviving for only a year, but this makes the population very resilient with a low vulnerability to fishing pressure. Squid is commonly called by its Italian name Calamari.

Instructions
Your Squid tubes and heads will arrive frozen, simply store in your freezer (up to 3 months) and use at your leisure. It is best to remove product from packaging to defrost (do not thaw under vacuum/pressure), simply place on a tray in your fridge and allow to thaw slowly.
Any special requests or instructions can be left in the NOTES section at the Checkout. Eg: Your doorbell does not work, you require a phone call before the order arrives, you would like the fillets / steaks vacuum packed seperately or cut into smaller portions etc.

Our squid is sourced from the Patagonian shelf where population levels are stable, and the squid fishing industry is actively managed with two populations assessments per fishing season. Fishwife Recipes
Cajun Pan Fired Calamari
The Fishwife shares a recipe with delicious French-American flavours perfect for these tubes and heads. You will need:
- 1kg Squid Tubes and Tentacles (cleaned)
- Butter
- Garlic
- Cajun Spice
- Salt & pepper
- Lemon or Lemon Juice
- Sushi Mayonnaise or tartar sauce
Preparation:
- Heat a dry pan on the stove at high heat.
- Pan fry the calamari for approx. a minute or two to allow it to release any excess water.
- Take the calamari off the heat, drain in a colander, and set aside.
- Pop a good helping of butter into your clean pan.
- Add a good helping of garlic.
- Throw the dry calamari back into the pan.
- Add some Cajun spice and salt & pepper.
- Fry in the spices for approx. 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and squeeze some lemon juice over.
- Enjoy with a touch of Sushi Mayonnaise or tartar sauce.

- Collections are free and take place Monday to Friday.
- Orders placed online before 11am will be ready to collect same-day from 12h00 to 5pm.
- Orders placed online after 11am will be made ready for collection the following working day, from 12h00 to 5pm.
- Should you place your order after 11am and need it that day, or need to collect before 11am (Monday to Friday) please contact our office 063 666 2802 and we will get it ready for you, it normally takes us an hour to cut and prepare.

We are situated in the bend in a complex called Berkley Square. Ask security for Greenfish Collections. Please park outside the home collection door and ring bell. It is well sign posted. Please park right outside the door.

Made the most delicious risotto with calamari dish - only need to use basic ingredients as the calamari is so fresh you don’t need much to let it be the hero of the dish. The squid is so fresh, I followed the recipe suggested on your website and it was amazing. The family said best calamari they have had! I kept it so simple with butter and garlic and it was delicious. Served it with risotto with asparagus and worked out perfectly.

Once you get it right, and that isn’t hard, Incomparable in cost and quality to 80% of the palaces that have calamari on the menu. Our fussy 5 year old eats these things off a skewer as fast as we can serve them. We keep a pack of these in the freezer and struggle to keep them there. Delicious and quick. Good for at least 4-6 People per pack X 3 packs in this box. Great value.

Hey, Order was all good, calamari was super tender, cool for 40-1min seconds, set aside let water drain out, then get to cooking with spices for another 1min! Excellent as Grilled Calamari With Chimichurri Sauce/Paste. Just one suggestion on the Squid box the three blocks are too big for two people, I would suggest making it six smaller blocks. Thanks!
