This Live Box features a half dozen Fresh Abalone/Perlemoen. These locally grown abalone arrive at your door fresh and tasty. You get the same great taste of the ocean with out taking an abalone from the sea. We have carefully selected this for you to enjoy with your family or friends.

This box is ideal for any abalone lover to add some variety into their week day dinning. We have taken care of the mess, you look after the rest. Your abalone will arrive whole inside a polybox, to make it easy to use at home. If you need us to take them out the shell, gut and vacuum pack them please let us know in the Notes when you check out.
Your box will arrive fresh, simply store in your fridge and use at your leisure (up to 2 days).

When you check out there is a section for notes, here you can tell us if you have any special requests for the cutting of your fish. Perfectly gutted and cleaned, packaged like we requested! Shared these with friends as a starter to an “off the grid” braai and it was super delicious!! Cut thinly, tenderised, lightly floured, flash fried in butter and finished off with some lime juice!! Please take my money again!!
While they're smaller than I remember from diving them out over 2 decades ago, they still delicious. Perlemoen is just the ultimate seafood bar none. I removed the shell and intestine and mouth, sliced it into 2-3mm slices and tenderised those with a meat hammer. Then I flash fried it some oil (or with some butter) for 20 seconds per side. Add a little bit of salt and lemon juice and voila! So amazing, need mooaaar....
